Funding and Fees

Policy Statement


In our setting fees are set at a level which reflects the safe and stimulating environment which is provided for the children and to ensure that our high-quality teaching standards are sustained. Our fees are currently set at the rate below in order to maintain sustainability; quality of care prices, to pay staff according to their qualifications and experience and to meet rising costs of services. Should it be deemed necessary to increase the fees you will be given a half terms notice. We are committed to equal opportunities for everyone ensuring it is accessible to all families in the community. Parents and carers are asked to respect the policy in relation to charging procedures.

The Visitation Pre-School is a non-profit making organisation.

Fees


Fees for paying families is £26 for a 3 hour session. Full day care (6 hour 15mins) is £52 per day. These fees apply to children of the age of 2 and 3 years old until the term after their 3rd birthday when they become eligible for the nursery education grant.

Payment of fees


Fees may be paid weekly, monthly, or termly, and can be settled by cash, bank transfer, or cheque made payable to ‘The Visitation Pre-School’. All fees must be paid in advance. Invoices and receipts will be issued via Tapestry. If you experience any difficulties accessing your account, please speak to the manager for assistance. Please note that fees are payable regardless of a child’s absence due to illness or any other reason.

9-Months -2-Year funding for Working Families


From September 2024, new funding for children aged 9 months – 2 Years will be available for working families. Visitation Pre-school now accepts all forms of funding and children can start attending Pre-school once they turn 2 years old. This means that you can apply for the 9-Months-2-Years funding leading up to your child’s 2nd birthday and the term before you wish to take up a place.

2-Year-Old Funding for Working Parents


From April 2024, new funding is available for working families of children aged 2 years.

2-Year-Old Funding


If your family is in the receipt of certain benefits, you may be entitled to claim free childcare funding for your 2 years old.

Nursery Education Grant


Families receiving 15 hours of universal NEG and 30-Hour funding for 3- & 4-year-olds are entitled to early education.

A limited number of fully free places (with no additional charges) are available each term. If all are taken, families may join our waiting list.

Additional support for fees


Parents are advised that they may be eligible for; Childcare voucher schemes- operated by employers these allow a tax efficient way of paying for the non-funded element of childcare. Parents should ask their employer if this is available.

Tax free Childcare- Parents who aren’t receiving Tax Credits, Universal credit or childcare vouchers the government will add an extra £2.00 for every £8.00 that is paid into the online account up to £2,000 per child per year.

Universal Credit for Childcare- for working parents claiming Universal credit who are not claiming Tax-Free Childcare with children under 17-years can claim 85% of eligible childcare costs.

Wraparound

Wraparound Care (Partnership with Our Lady of the Visitation Nursery)

Wraparound care is available for children attending OLOV Nursery. Families may split their 30 hour funding between the two settings or pay privately for any hours not covered by funding.

Government funding covers basic early education only. Optional wraparound extras include:

  • Collection/drop-off
  • Lunch cover
  • Snacks
  • Consumables
  • Activities
  • Resources
  • Administration
  • Each is charged separately and voluntarily. A minimum of two days per week is required. A limited number of fully free places (with no additional charges) are available each term. If all are taken, families may join our waiting list.

    Notice Period


    In the event of you wishing to withdraw you child from the setting or reduce sessions 4 weeks’ notice in writing will be required.
